The TEFL Institute provides very comprehensive training materials, with frequent and enjoyable in-training quizlets that help reinforce learning as you go. Each module covers a set of related themes and ends with a Module Test. In addition, each major group of modules includes a written assessment, which works very well as a way of seeing how thoroughly the information has been absorbed. Because all tests are open-book, the focus isn't on what you can remember as much as a way of showing how well you've understood and digested the material, and how clearly you can articulate this.
The dashboard is intuitive and works smoothly. If your internet connection drops during the written assessments (which aren't time-limited, by the way) you can simply restart from where you left off. I prefer to type my answers in Word, as it makes spell-checking easier and allows me to keep a complete record of all my responses in a single document.
It's also easy to stay motivated, because the whole learning process is enjoyable. The additional third-party material, provided through links throughout the course, is useful, varied and extensive.
