I own a battery-operated lawn mower that uses rechargeable batteries to drive the motor that spins the cutting blade. Have replaced the battery set over the years soon than expected because the length of time to run the motor was progressively less. Turns out I was overcharging the battery which caused then to wear out faster. I needed something to automatically turn of the battery charger after a defined time. I saw the teklectric digital timer that I can select charging time from 1hr to 8hr. This was perfect! I plugged the ac battery charger cable in the digital timer then into the AC wall outlet and set the timer to turn OFF after 4 hrs. I checked it periodically and sure enough after 4 hour time elapsed the timer turned OFF and my mower batteries were FULLY charged without being OVERCHAGED!!!! Thankyou to teklectric for making the timer to allow me to use it as an automatic charger shut-off!
