As a visually impaired shopper at the Dunfermline fire station branch of Tesco, this branch stands out from any other supermarket the on board staff are extremely helpful. I also take great pleasure in complimenting the staff at the wee cafe too. In my sincere opinion this particular store would receive 11 out of 10.

Tescos Tetbury. 23.2.26 around 11am. 1st time used store asked staff to help at conveyor self check out, 2 staff very reluctant to help. One came over I asked her a question and she just walked off without answering! Called her back to asked same question and she walked off again. I was just an inconvenience to her. 2nd staff was just chatting ++ to a friend. Very very poor service.

Told me he was "goin in my bag" HELL NO. Called over more like they were goin 2 jump me WTF. I let them know I was wearing body cam RIGHT. I will put on YouTube 4 you 2 SEE me do NOTHING WRONG. How they i'll fly to abused their power. Unaware former security officer. YEAH. U can do nothing. 1st you are supposed to de escalate a situation. Not escalate it. I feel uncomfortable like he was trying to bully me. Now not important to anyone but my. My brother sudden DEATH, reminds me of my brothers murder back in 2008, we haven't even had the funeral yet. So I'm not in a good place. I feel worse than I did before. If I not here I hope you feel bad about it. What happened to kindness. I will post on YOUTUBE. (Tesco express security officers try to abuse power) hope you like. Thanks for reading. I'm Dyslexic sorry for mistakes.
★☆☆☆☆ Avoid at All Costs: The Epitome of Customer Service FailureMy experience at Tesco Extra, Cardington Road, was not merely a bad shopping trip—it was a masterclass in systemic neglect, profound disrespect, and operational incompetence. This store has elevated poor customer service to an art form, and I feel compelled to warn others to save their time, money, and sanity. From the moment I entered, the atmosphere was one of palpable apathy. The first interaction was with a staff member who, when asked a simple question about product location, responded with a disinterested shrug and a muttered "Dunno, not my section," before walking away while staring at their phone. This set the tone for everything that followed. The Checkout Catastrophe: With only three checkouts open during a peak Saturday afternoon, the queues snaked halfway through the store. Self-service tills were a war zone: half were out of order, the others flashed with errors. No staff were actively monitoring the area. When a till repeatedly failed to scan a bag-for-life (a common issue), the single overworked attendant sighed audibly, slammed the machine, and barked, "Just put it on the scale," offering no solution or courtesy. The "help" button was a joke—it lit a call light that blinked unanswered for over 10 minutes.Management? What Management? Seeking a supervisor was like hunting for a ghost. I was passed from one indifferent employee to another, each pointing vaguely to "someone in a green shirt." After 25 minutes, I located a manager who listened with a fixed, patronizing smile. Their response? A robotic, "We're doing our best with current staffing challenges. Is there anything else?" No attempt to resolve the issue, no apology, no empowerment to make things right. It was a scripted brush-off of the highest order. The Store Condition: This neglect extends to the premises. Aisle floors were sticky. Fresh produce sections had visibly rotting items left on display. The "Express Lane" was a cruel misnomer, with baskets piled high with 15+ items while staff looked on, unwilling to intervene. The Final Insult: At the customer service desk, attempting to resolve a pricing error, I was treated not as a customer but as a nuisance attempting a fraud. The staff member demanded "proof" in a tone dripping with suspicion, then took my receipt and disappeared for over 15 minutes without a word of explanation. No other staff were present. It was abandonment, pure and simple. Conclusion: Tesco Cardington Road is not just a poorly managed store; it is a case study in how to utterly alienate a community. The staff are clearly demoralised and unsupported, the management is invisible and ineffective, and the customer experience is an afterthought at best. This isn't about "one bad day"—this is the entrenched culture of the place.I have shopped at Tesco for years, but this store has single-handedly shattered my loyalty. Do not go here. Drive the extra miles to a competitor, use a different Tesco branch, or shop online. Any alternative is superior to subjecting yourself to the profound disrespect and staggering inefficiency that is the standard operating procedure at Cardington Road. They have forgotten what it means to serve the public. In return, the public should forget they exist.
I've been a Tesco customer for 50 years.I always scan as I shop so I don't have to pack twice. Today, I was selected for a scan check. The assistant (loose use of the word) gleefully tells me its 40 items to scan. Half my shop. He picks my 40 items out of my bags, scans and puts my 40 items across 2 tills and on various surfaces til he finishes the check. He puts the scanner back and walks away, telling me to re pack the shopping myself. Thats not his job. He was rude, abrasive and couldnt care less. I'd suggest hes anything but in keeping with your mantra 'every little helps'. I have photos of my shopping left out of bags and the long queue of angry customers as I took up 2 tills for much longer than I ever needed to. I wont be returning to shop in your stores. If I could you'd have got zero stars.
I just bought a Tesco own brand loaf of bread 🍞 and it was the Tesco own brand super seedid loaf. It was the most amazing tasting bread I have tasted in a long time. With 6 different types of seeds. I looked at the ingredients on the bag. And I have to say I didn't see any E numbers in it. I thought it tasted really great It is far better than any of the top brands. So I don't understand why people are complaining about it. but you know some people are never satisfied with anything good thew wouldn't even know it if it slapped them in the face, it seems that want all the artificial softness of a mass product that is probably a prosest even highly prosest product. This bread is not ment to hang around for ever. It's meant to be eaten, So get a life and enjoy it, for what it is.From Shaun.
