I am an original kickstarter backer. I have attempted many times to get plants to grow, they always die. I planted the Chia seed and followed the instructions exactly, a few sprouted but for the most part it was a total waste. I had to scrub the pot with a tooth brush to get all the seeds off. The pot doesn't let water out and support says it's because I'm not using the right kind of water. I don't have hard water, so whatever is going on is the manufacturers fault. It's pretty ridiculous that I would need to go through all of this on top the excessive time I had to wait after the kickstarter finished. This product has put me off of using kickstarter ever again. I would not trust this company with my money again.
