I initially became aware of this business when they cold-called from a private number three times over three days. The caller claimed that a friend had recommended me for a free photo session and makeover. They used a name I had never heard of, which raised immediate concerns. I am a 46-year-old man with no interest in this service and do not live in the area. If a business has to rely on cold calling random strangers to drum up business, it's a sign of deeper problems.Upon researching the company, I discovered an overwhelming number of negative reviews spanning several years, many of which describe experiences identical to mine. The complaints highlight troubling patterns of misleading offers, coercive sales tactics, and unethical behavior. Below is a small selection of excerpts from these reviews:- "We felt extremely pressured to refer 100 people via text message, and pretty uncomfortable, to be honest."- "The whole thing felt extremely misleading, and my friend and I left Brixton with a sour taste in our mouths."- "Don't fall for their dodgy sales tactics. They say you can have a free photoshoot and only buy the photos if you like them. But when you are there, they deploy the most horrible coercive manipulative sales tactics."- "AVOID - wholly unethical company!!"- "Worst place to be ever."- "We regret attending and wasting our time."- "You guys took my friend’s contact saying we will be getting free credit to purchase the hard copy. You guys are calling them without giving me any credit."- "AVOID AT ALL COSTS AND REPORT TO POLICE!!! To everyone who was scammed, I recommend contacting the police about this dodgy establishment!"- "To be avoided at all cost."- "This is one of the most unreasonable companies I have had to deal with."- "Please avoid this studio. There are many others."- "AVOID! Broadway Studios uses hidden contract terms to steal your money."- "Coercive sales tactics, and irrational and dismissive customer service."- "Guys - please do read before booking! SCAM!"- "They contacted me in the first place from nowhere offering me a session of makeup, hairdresser, and pictures, then charged me £99."- "SCAM COMPANY. Contacted saying I'd been selected for a free photoshoot, sounded great. Once agreed, I was then told about a deposit I had to pay... so not free and had to pay £100."- "I'd avoid at all costs this studio."- "Disgusting. Do not go here. They are rude, dishonest, and deceitful."- "They advertise FREE makeover shoots. Nothing about them is free."Based on my experience and the evidence I've found, I strongly recommend avoiding this business. Thoroughly research alternatives before making any commitments—it could save you a lot of frustration. Further to this I did not provide consent for my personal information, including my phone number, to be shared, and I believe the same applies to the majority of individuals being contacted by this business.
