The Cooking Guild's MenWiththePot Special Edition cleaver was ordered January 3rd after coming back into stock and delivered around March 5th. I was on a notification list before ordering and it turns out to be well worth the wait. It is the best knife I and my family have ever owned. I had a set of Calphalon Katana series knives that I donated once I got this knife. The only other knives I've used since the cleaver's arrival are a pocket knife to cut cardboard and a serated knife for bread. The cleaver slices finely through anything, I just didn't want to risk crushing a rather small piece of fluffy bread! I also regularly cut watermelon in half for my chickens.I moved in with my in-laws this year and they're scared to cut their hand off while using it (in their defense they would definitely deal damage with a slip). I'll keep using my knife long after they've sharpened their assortment of mediocre knives twice and given up on a few. I wash it, dry it, occasionally rub a drop of oil on the edge and sheathe it away for next time. I've already taken it on a trip, where as always, it was the only knife I needed. On that vacation, just like every day at home, my new cleaver saved me lots of hacking and suffering.
