I hired The Designs Inc. to create a custom website for my therapy practice, paying $2,100 for full website design and content writing. Unfortunately, the experience was incredibly disappointing, ultimately leading to the termination of the project.I provided content that reflected my voice and the needs of my practice, asking them to polish and refine it for a more professional presentation. However, what I received was poorly written content that did not represent my tone or intended message. The writing was subpar and unprofessional, which was very frustrating.From the beginning of the project, which started in February 2025, it became clear that the team did not understand the specific needs of therapists when it comes to website design. They claimed to have the knowledge and expertise to create a professional website tailored for therapy practices — otherwise, I would not have hired them. They focused primarily on visuals, while my business is centered on words—building trust and connection through language. The layout they created was cluttered with oversized and excessive images, making it difficult — if not impossible — to integrate content in a way that felt cohesive or professional. Despite my repeated requests to remove unnecessary photos, these changes were never implemented.I found myself managing the project and providing constant direction, often spending phone calls lasting over two hours, only to feel dismissed when my input was not acknowledged. This experience was exhausting and draining, causing me to lose trust in their ability to deliver a website that met my needs. I no longer felt comfortable continuing the project, as it became evident that they lacked the expertise needed to create a professional and usable website for my therapy practice.After I terminated the project, I offered to pay $600 as a good-faith gesture for the time they had spent, despite my dissatisfaction with the work. I requested a refund of $1,500, considering that I had received no usable product. However, they rejected my offer and only offered a refund of $500. When I informed them that I would be contacting the Better Business Bureau, they responded that I had the right to do so, but added that if the matter escalates, they would involve their legal team — a response that felt more threatening than professional. As a result, I am left without a finished website and feel that I have lost my money. The work they provided was incomplete and unprofessional, and I am still seeking a fair resolution. I do not recommend this company to anyone looking for reliable and professional web design services. Their lack of expertise in creating websites for therapists, combined with the poor quality of work and unprofessional management of the situation, has been extremely stressful and exhausting.
