The bride&groom registered at The Knot, an established, respected wedding registry site.I depended on The Knot site to inform me of the items couple identified they would like and did not have. I purchased an item they requested but chose to shop locally. To prevent duplicity, I tried to report on The Knot registry site that I had purchased a requested item at a different place but the site did not allow this. I then went to the store site that The Knot connected to this item, but again there was no opportunity at this site to report that the product has been purchased which would prevent duplicate purchases, eliminating the the added task for the bride to spend too much time returning duplicate items to various vendors. This was not possible. Surely, a wedding registry such as The Knot, that has been in business for approx 6 years,is aware of the need to avoid duplicity of purchases, yet their site does not provide for this. Very disappointing.
