⭐☆☆☆☆ BUYER BEWARE OF DISHONEST PRACTICE!!!

⭐☆☆☆☆ 72 Hours of Silence & Weeks of Misleading Practices – A Complete Breakdown of My Experience with The Mod ProjectsI purchased from The Mod Projects expecting a premium product and a professional customer experience. While the product itself is of decent quality, the customer service, refund process, and overall transparency have been appalling — and now I feel obligated to warn others.Below is a complete breakdown of my experience with this company. Please read before spending your money here.⸻🔍 Timeline of Events📦 July 17, 2025 – Shipping Label CreatedA USPS shipping label was created in Los Angeles, CA. This gave the impression that the item was shipping domestically.🕓 July 22, 2025 – Item Finally Picked UpFive days later, the tracking updated showing the item was picked up — but still hadn’t been accepted by USPS.🚛 July 23–25 – Movement Within Los AngelesThe package seemed to move between different facilities in Los Angeles. I assumed this confirmed a domestic shipment.⸻📨 Customer Service EmailsEmail 1 – Misleading USPS ClaimAfter inquiring, I was told the package was “moving through the USPS system.” This was not true — tracking still showed “On Its Way to USPS”, meaning USPS had not received the package at all.Email 2 – Partial Truths RevealedOnly after pointing out the tracking inconsistencies did customer service admit the product was coming from Hong Kong, with a stop at a warehouse in Jamaica, NY. This was never disclosed upfront or on the website.Email 3 – “Goodwill” OfferAfter escalating the issue, I was offered a $25 refund — supposedly to compensate for the shipping inconvenience. This was insulting, considering the issue was never about shipping but about deceptive communication and a misleading fulfillment process.Email 4 – Policy ContradictionsAfter I declined the $25 offer and requested a full refund, I was told: • They would not provide a prepaid return label • I’d have to ship the product to Europe at my own expense • Or I could accept a 51% refund without returning the productNone of this is mentioned in their own Refund Policy, which clearly states:“Refunds are available within 45 days of purchase.”It says nothing about partial refunds, international return shipping costs, or waiting two weeks for them to “figure out logistics.”⸻📵 August 4–7, 2025 – SilenceI sent a firm email requesting resolution, offering two reasonable options: 1. Send me a prepaid U.S. return label and issue a full refund once I return the product. 2. Issue a full refund and allow me to keep the product due to the significant service breakdowns. It has now been over 72 hours, and I have received no response. This is especially troubling since prior messages were answered within 24 hours — until I rejected their offers and demanded they follow their own policy.⸻✅ The Product ItselfIronically, the product is good: • The case feels sturdy and well-built • The extra bands are excellent quality • The packaging was clean and presentableBut a good product can’t outweigh a company that appears to prioritize appearances over honesty, misleads customers about fulfillment, and changes its refund process on the fly when challenged.⸻⚖️ Why This MattersThis isn’t just a bad experience — it’s a reflection of a company that: • Fails to uphold its own written refund policy • Makes inaccurate claims in writing (which could constitute deceptive business practices) • Only becomes transparent when confronted with facts • And now appears to be deliberately stalling communicationI gave this company multiple chances to make this right, and I was fully prepared to write a positive review. Instead, I’m left feeling taken advantage of — and I’m far from the only one. I’ve since come across other complaints about this exact same behavior: confusing shipping, misleading tracking, and resistance to refunds.⸻💬 Final ThoughtsDo not buy from The Mod Projects if you value transparency, accountability, or honest customer service. You may receive a decent product, but if anything goes wrong — you’re likely on your own.And if you dare to challenge their process? Be prepared to be ignored.
