My daughter is 15 and has tiny feet. She wears a 2.5 or 3 in big kids and the 3 fit her perfectly. She wanted a pair of white platform tennis shoes because she wants to appear taller and none of them came in her size except these. She did say they can be a bit awkward and she twisted her ankle once, not badly, but that might be because she’s not used to wearing shoes with a platform on it. She likes them and so far holding up great after a month of wearing every day to school.
