I injured my back performing deadlifts last summer. For months I had quite significant pain in my left glute when I would lay down but could mostly minimize it when sitting or standing. I spent the first months visiting the chiropractor and performing my yoga routine, which had minimal effect. After a few months of constant pain in bed, my X-ray and MRI confirmed that I had two herniated and two bulging discs between L2-S1. The doctor was quick to recommend a surgeon. Hoping to avoid surgery, I continued my routine through the Christmas break where I tweaked it to the point of needing to take OTC pain pills. Thinking surgery was in my future, I started to view over 100+ videos and the general consensus was that 98% of disc issues can be solved without surgery. I've had a few aggravations along the way from various weight drills at the gym, but with Alec's consultation, he suggested what exercises were probably causing the problems. Bypassing those machines, I can pretty much say I don't even think about pain, and haven't since early in the program. I will also add the scoliosis from the 4 injured discs has also reversed so my alignment is now back to normal.Grant, Alec and the team, you guys are great. I've become RehabFix's #1!
