When I started this program I was in a bad place, after 3 months of struggling with sciatica. It was the 3rd time in 5 years and this bout triggered a lot of knee pain. The first phase really gave me a good platform. This second phase has really solidified that platform and now I feel like I have a foundation to get back to other forms of exercise without fear, while maintaining the work to not go backwards.Closing out a 12 week program with my coach, Jonathan Gomez, everything really seems to have come together this week! My lower back feels stronger, more stable and more open/mobile than for a long time. Doing child’s pose as the warm down I find I can go deeper and am more comfortable in the pose, with no stiffness in my back and no pain in my knees. Back bending to stretch is a routine and I can go so much deeper than I was able when I started this whole programMy overall strength has increased too. This is obvious in the weights I am using but also in other exercise like biking where my power has increased and I can sustain for longer. I also notice a lot more stability and strength in my back and core in other exercises. Again, no fear of back pain when I bike.Jonathan has been an awesome coach and guide. He was responsive whenever I had a question or concern about my program. He was super engaged and often responded within hours to my notes, videos & pictures in the tracking app, providing encouragement and coaching to improve my form. I really felt like he tailored the program to my personal situation and tweaked my exercises to my needs.
