I had a bad experience with thesqua.re company. Saw a 2-bedroom apartments online. When I inquired price is different/higher from what was advertised on the website. I still took it as booking period is a holiday season and sale agent gave me a special price for 14-days rent. Made payment on 16 Oct 25 Sadly, I had to cancel next day (17 Oct) as my family can’t make it for the trip. That was where a period of 7 days stressful saga starts. I promptly informed sale agent through WhatsApp and he acknowledged it and told me refund will take 10-15 days. I followed up again and again then received reply that my booking conformation email will be sent first before cancellation will kick in and they will provide refund details via email after checking with finance team and I should receive it within 1-2 days. Received booking confirmation email on 18 Oct but no cancellation email. I contacted sale agent / squa.re team but they kept telling excuses that their team is not arrived in office/ can’t send email cos of a technical issue / still need to check with finance team. Eventually I threatened with a police report on 23 Oct and sale agent sent me a cancellation email. Oh ya, original sale agent disappeared (that is, no longer handling my refund inquiries after a few times). Until 23 Oct, a different sale agent said still need to check with finance team. Eventually, I called up my credit card company and dispute my booking fee of SGD4K+.Please be aware of this company and their dishonest practices. Things will be okay until you need to cancel, thus proceed with caution (better yet, use a honest company). Please read 1 star or 2 stars reviews instead of skimming only for 5 stars.
