Before joining this initiative, I felt burned out from teaching in public schools; I felt trapped and overwhelmed. This program opened my eyes to what it takes to run a business and taught me a lot about myself. I realized how much my mindset had bogged me down. Negative thoughts instilled a lack of confidence, but my coach continued to believe in me when I couldn’t. He encouraged me to take a step back and decide what I truly wanted in life. Once I listed my desires and goals, I realized that having my own teaching business was what I wanted. I wanted flexible hours, creativity, and to reconnect with my true self.
