I returned from Morocco ten days ago, and I'm still integrating what happened there. I came to The Unmasked Man Morocco journey as a newcomer to this particular community, though not to the world of retreats. Over the years I've sat in many rooms as a participant, and as a facilitator myself. I know what good looks like, and I know the gap between an experience that's well-organised and one that is genuinely transformative. What Alexander has built sits firmly, and without hyperbole, in the latter category.The facilitation is world-class. Not in the polished, performative sense but in the truest sense of the word: skilled, adaptive, deeply attuned. What struck me most was the quality of the container. Creating a safe space for men to show up fully is no small undertaking. Sustaining that safety across the arc of a multi-day experience, through the inevitable tensions, breakthroughs, and rawness that surfaces, that requires a different order of skill entirely. It was done exceptionally well.The attention to detail was outstanding, both practically and emotionally. Nothing felt accidental. And yet, crucially, there was a beautiful spontaneity woven through the structure, a willingness to follow what the group needed, rather than rigidly serve a programme. That balance is rare, and it made all the difference.What I respect most, and what I think sets this work apart, is that the leaders don't just facilitate vulnerability, they embody it. Vulnerability as courage isn't a tagline here. It's a lived example, modelled from the front. That includes an openness to feedback, to uncertainty, and to not having all the answers. In a space designed to invite men into honesty, there is nothing more powerful than watching the people leading the room do the same.I will be forever grateful for this experience. It has already changed something in me that I suspect will continue to unfold for months and years ahead. If you're a man considering it, just jump in. You won't regret it.
