I established care with the vets in Sacramento (they are a chain with multiple locations but no offices). If you read carefully they are just a platform connecting vets to owners. I also have a diabetic pet and the guidelines are for as much care at home as possible but this is not a clinic! They assign you a doctor who works part time and have no support between care because they have few staff who do not work in your city. Technically they are not a “scam” but they are misleading and create the appearance of a clinic but are in fact just a web platform. There is no support between visits as your doctor may work 1-2 times per month. They recommended hospital stay, and refused to treat my pet and refused to even provide refills saying he is to sick for their clinic. Yet, what did he need? A simple glucose curve which is best done using a continuous glucose monitor (a simple patch). I paid thousands in care only to have my emails rejected, refused to answer questions and left me on my own with a sick pet. This js not a clinic anywhere it is a startup focused on profits over care and they will lie and violate ethical standards of care for the purpose of making profits by pushing away sick pets under the guise of “too complex.” They want well pets who need vaccines and checkups annually. Once it gets tricky you’re out of luck and pushed out. This is an investment whose intentions are not on care for animals. Look them up, see who is the real owner, question what they tell you. They will not like it and are experts at spinning the truth but get your pet to an actual clinic or a home veterinarian who provides continuity and care.
