Martin Collins
Not professional nor competent

I'll be clear from the start that I had my claim rejected by Thompson's. You could read my negative review as simply sour grapes from me, but that's not the case. If I didn't have a case then I didn't have a case - move on - life's too short. It's the way Thompson's operated coupled with the complete incompetence in the details of my claim, that I have given the one star for.I contacted Thompson's and explained all the details of my case and my injuries. They looked at these details at immediately took the case on. In retrospect, I can only assume that they didn't assess my case at all and instead they just take every case on? I have to assume that they take every case on simply so they can send threatening letters and hopefully scare the defendants so that they capitulate, offer some money, Thompsons take their cut, case closed? They sent the "threatening letters" to the company to whom my case refers. That company ignored Thompson's completely. Thompson's then got to the stage where it was necessary to start court proceedings to progress my claim and that's the point when Thompson's rejected my claim and dropped me. If my case did not have the meat on the bones to go all the way at the start then why start it all? I can only assume due to pure greed and an inflated sense of worth on Thompson's part? All this did was to completely waste my time and then to empower the defendant should I wish to use another solicitor, as the defendant will know the first solicitor dropped me. It appears to be a disgusting practice by Thompson's which diluted my chances of a succesful claim with another solicitor.Secondly the reasoning as to why they dropped my case was maddening because it became apparent that they had not understood at all what actually happened? Not just slightly but completely to point it sounded like they were talking about a completely different case!I don't mind not having a case, but I do mind my case being taken on if it didn't stand a chance at the start and I doubly don't like my case being dropped for reasons that didn't even relate to my case and if they did then the complete misunderstanding of the facts of my case in the first place. Facts matter! All in all my experience with this company suggests that they are not professional nor competent in what they do. The earlier stages appear to be handled by inexperienced and lower paid staff of dubious legal training and background?BDE/*******/G25H0586With reference to your reply.....I stated that (possibly) the facts you have recorded are wrong, yet you are going to get a manager to review my case!! Surely reviewing wrong facts will mean you will wrongly review my case (again)?I would have thought that contacting me first to clarify the facts before reviewing my case would be more appropriate in this instance? Finally this is not a customer service portal. It is a review website. You are defined by your initial actions, not in how you handle reviews. If I had wanted to complain then I would have complained rather than write a review. The difference between the two is that I no longer care. I don't care what you do, what your review finds or how you react. It's done. It's over. You failed now go away.
