I moved into what was then called Kier Homes in 2014, and I have to say, I was very pleased at first, but later on I realised that the people responsible for designing my home are idiots! Why would someone put a radiator in the middle of the main bedroom wall? That's the only place to put your bed, but there's a radiator there! In the master bedroom, they put the radiator on a wall that would be the only place to put a wardrobe, so now my clothes are very warm, but the room is cold, as my wardrobe is right in front of it!I believe experience is a wonderful thing, and no university degree, can override experience. If these designers had experienced living and raising children in a home, they would not have made such fundamental mistakes. To build a house that is fit for purpose, one has to understand how every decision affects the home owner/resident. This comes with experience. I did notice after moving in, that many of the staff were young people, with no idea about actually living in those homes. It takes an senior member to build a successful house. Maybe they should employ more senior members of staff, to get the build right.Their houses look great on first viewing, but once you move in, the cracks start to appear, and if you fail to notice the mistakes when they attend their yearly visit, you're stuck with the problem, unless you pay to correct it.And where is the storage that a family of 3 would require? Nowhere to be seen! So sad :(
