When the PS5 and XBSX were on the horizon , I was looking everywhere for unbiased fact based comparisons and Tom's guide was the biggest Sony shill I have encountered yet. It seemed the the narrative they were setting was PS5 good, XBSX bad for pretty much everything I read. Fast forward a year and Tom's guide looks like a fanboy's YouTube channel, every article is bashing XBSX and the cringe thing is not that they are writing subjectively negative things about the XBSX, its how every article turns that into a positive for the PS5. I frankly don't care about gaming no where near enough for this behavior to bother me, or tilt me in one direction over another, I just don't trust a word they write about any piece of tech they review, I gave them the benefit of a doubt in the beginning because the console wars narrative right before a launch is a click generator. I didn't blame them for cashing in on the hottest topic in a console generations lifespan. A year later tho, sticking with the whole Sony good, Microsoft bad narrative about everything takes any benefit of a doubt away and I see this site for what it really is. I dont understand the point of running a tech review site to just repeatedly bash a piece of tech from a particular company with mainly unsubstantiated personal opinions, while having unwavering support for it's competing piece of tech that is like 90% identical to it. Just come clean and make it clear that PS is Tom guides preferred platform, make it a Sony centric website, why put on the act?
