I enrolled in Tori Trades after consuming extensive free content and being sold a (over)$4,000 course that was marketed as a complete trading framework with meaningful coaching support including one on one support. I was upfront that I run a full-time business and needed one-on-one guidance and group access that worked around a working professional’s schedule. I was told this would be provided. It was not. Once in and on the hook for a ton of money, we are told to rely on the community. To be very clear: $4,000 is wildly overpriced for what is offered. I am still paying this course off and walked away with nothing I can confidently use in a long-term trading strategy.The strategy itself is presented as far more complete than it actually is. Trendlines are sold as the foundation of consistently profitable trading, yet there is little to no discussion of liquidity, where stops are likely resting, or why price may move in one direction versus another. Obviously no one knows with certainty where price will go, but other frameworks at least provide probabilistic reasoning and context. This system does not. I was left with lines on a chart, but no real understanding of market behavior.Risk management was another major failure. I was encouraged to take trades with a 1:1 risk-to-reward ratio and was told these were “good trades.” At a 50% win rate, a 1:1 system is mathematically breakeven at best — and in real trading, commissions, slippage, and execution errors make it unprofitable. No serious trading mentor should allow this without a proven statistical edge. This alone explains why consistent profitability was impossible even when following the rules precisely.The coaching component was the biggest disappointment. Group calls are held at 6 a.m., which is unrealistic for many working professionals. When I raised this concern, the response was essentially that people around the world wake up at 3 a.m. to attend. That does not justify the lack of accessibility. If a program is marketed to working professionals, it should be structured to support them. Framing sleep deprivation as “commitment” is not mentorship — it’s deflection. Effective trading requires clarity, consistency, and proper rest, not performative sacrifice.One-on-one coaching exists, but coaches are clearly overwhelmed. In my experience, trade reviews often came weeks after the trades were taken, making them nearly useless for learning. More concerning, my coach openly showed me that he himself was over $5,000 in drawdown. While honesty is appreciated, it raises serious questions about why students are paying thousands of dollars for guidance from coaches who are not consistently profitable.You only receive six months of coaching for a $4,000 course. Given the lack of access, delayed feedback, and overwhelmed coaches, the value simply is not there.Over time, it became clear this is primarily a marketing business, not a trading mentorship. Flashy PNLs, lifestyle imagery, and a large Instagram network of “coaches” are used to sell the dream. I can confidently say she makes far more money selling courses than trading. Most of the actual educational value is already available for free online.My honest advice: watch the free videos if you want a basic introduction to trendlines. But do not spend $4,000 expecting a complete trading system, strong risk management, or meaningful mentorship. If you are serious about trading, you will need a framework that explains market behavior, incorporates liquidity, enforces proper risk management, and provides timely, competent feedback. This program does not deliver that.
