I chose TMS after reading many positive reviews on both Google and Trustpilot so I feel obligated to give an honest account of my experience with the company. My communication and interaction with them up on till the day my stuff was moved from London to Dublin was pleasant and reassuring. Things started to go horribly wrong when my stuff arrived in Dublin. My things arrived cramped and scrappily packed on the delivery truck. As my things were unloaded there was evidence of complete lack of care, squashed carton boxes some with fragile items, wet and dirty mattress (due to lack of proper packaging and it being left out in the rain) and my Brompton bike mis-folded and bent out of shape. They brought up a big coffee table which wasn’t mine. They were going to leave without putting my bed together even though I had paid for this service. I had to insist they do it. They did it but they left before I could check since I was in a meeting. Later I discovered that the bed frame was missing parts that they had lost. I also realized that there were missing a big suitcase and a bookcase. I immediately called and texted them but no answer. Next day I called TMS who informed me that they guys said they had delivered the suitcase. Again I had to raise my voice and insisted they find this suitcase which was quite large and full of my entire winter coats and not easily replaceable items. Two days later they did find the suitcase but was told the book case was completely destroyed. TMS agreed to pay for my bike and bed frame to be repaired. The bike was easy to fix but the bed not so. I made several calls and sent emails to the bed seller and manufacturer who informed me they no longer carry this range. On the bookcase, they offered to only partially pay the cost of replacing the bookcase. I refused their offer for the bookcase. In the end they agree to pay the full cost. We agreed on settlement amount but they wanted me to sign an agreement that I would not upon receiving the settlement directly or indirectly seek to publish any adverse comment whether by oral, written, electronic means or otherwise any statement adverse to the interests of Total Moving Solutions Limited. I interpreted this as that they didn’t want me to write an honest review of my experience with them. And they thought offering to give me £50 extra than I would receive from the insurance claim would justify this. I refused to sign it and I explained to Melissa from TMS that since I found them through reviews I want to be able to write one too.On the insurance, I had taken out extra insurance outside the standard offered by TMS. This was a total waste of money. After weeks of filing the insurance company replied to ask for proof of purchase for the bookcase and if I had contacted the manufacturer for missing parts. It made me realized that if my suitcase hadn’t been found the insurance wouldn’t have covered it since they would ask me for proof of purchase for the items which I no longer have. I can’t believe that two months after my move I’m still dealing with the mess created by TMS.
