Khas was a fantastic, friendly, flexible and all around awesome tour guide for our food/sightseeing tour in Kyoto. He was on time, took us on a bit slower paced tour (we're old) which was just right. Beautiful shrines, parks, temples, fresh sushi at a tiny, hole in the wall restaurant, and special Kyoto sweet treats such as rice balls coated in a sweet soy sauce (delicious btw),baked custard filled fish shaped waffles (hot, goey, crispy!), and glazed fruits on a stick. His English was impeccable, plus he also speaks Russian and is from Mongolia. He's not a new tour guide, but is new to Tours by Locals. He explained local customs ,especially important since we just arrived into Kyoto an hour before our tour began. What a delightful tour we shared with Khas, so much so that we invited him to stay in our home when he visits the region we live in.
