• It was agreed TPS would install a wet room in my home• Budget agreed• Paid £2800 in advance of the work starting• TPS couldn’t come because his cat was sick, next time he had to take his wife to hospital, then the next time his daughter was sick, then the next time he was sick…. really?• Eventually agreed work should start Tuesday nonetheless turned up Thursday• A member of this firm was on site that Thursday• Didn’t see anyone Friday and did not answer phone calls, where are you, what’s happening and when are you coming.• Same member turned up on Monday, I asked him very politely to remove his dirty boots before walking up my sandy colour stair carpet• Next thing I have an aggressive phone call from the boss saying he wasn’t going to work for people like me and wouldn’t give me a refund of my deposit. Didn’t extend the courtesy of coming to talk to me to try to resolve matters• Relieved to receive £2000 refund, although quite out of pocket.• I was left with a shower room which was totally unusable and most of the materials from the bathroom were left in my bedroom and the front drive of my house. I had to pay another contractor to remove it.• As a widow rising 80 years of age, I then had to start looking for another contractor to complete the project.• It took two and a half months to get my wet room completed during which time I was without this shower/wet room, and I was unable to use my bedroom either. • I can only speak as I find the whole experience was extremely unpleasant. Such unprofessional service!
