Got caught up in this scam because a trusted friend recommended their services. I didn't realize she hadn't vetted them, and I just blindly followed. She didn't realize she had been scammed until I proved it to her.I filled out an online application, and paid the $348 application fee. That is to do the TRADEMARK SEARCH AND CLEARANCE REPORT. They then contact you to assist with filing for a Trademark in each of the classes you'd like. I wanted to trademark my company name and logo. Two separate filings. They recommended 5 different classes for each. At the tune of $350 a class (the per class fee is real, but the USPTO fee is $250 per class) All seemed normal to this point. Then they did file for both my company name and logo, though once I dug into things, they only filed one class each. They do this so they can A) show the credit card company they did provide services, so a CC dispute may not hold up, and B) so they can point you to the USPTO site to "prove" you have a Trademark pending.Then they hit you with emails and phone calls saying your going to lose the application unless you pay to have the trademark attestation done. See the fees for that below.It was when they came back looking for more money that I realized something was wrong. I went to the USPTO site, and could see my trademarks pending, but once I became suspicious I called the USPTO, and they told me I was only filed in one class each. Meaning I paid out $3,500 plus the application fee, and they filed two applications total at $250 each.After doing more research I found the credit card transaction came from a company called Logo Design Kraft, with an address in Michigan, and not Texas.I did dispute the application fee, and they fabricated a bunch of documents and emails "proving" the services they provided. Do I feel stupid? Sure do! Don't get caught up like I did.
