Are you a freelance translator looking for work? Welcome to hell. Until a few years ago, it was possible to work with this company and earn a good salary, but then things changed. They brought in a mass of highly incompetent linguists, creating crazy competition that made it impossible to get jobs from the platform, as they are snapped up as soon as they are posted. Probably, as some suspect, some “clever” people have found a way to automate claims, which doesn't bother those who publish them in the slightest. Freelancers, regardless of their level of expertise and experience, are treated like numbers. PMs only show up when there is an urgent revision to be done, and many of them don't create POs until after endless requests, delaying payments. It almost seems like they're doing you a favor. If you have any work-related problems, you're on your own. Lately, since freelancers are apparently too expensive, they have launched a campaign to reduce external work, entrusting it to people on fixed salaries who are not necessarily more experienced. The quality of translations has dropped dramatically, so much so that I wonder which client still wants to rely on them.
