Short version: a) Don't believe the pictures on ads for holiday house, b) AirBnB rules of transferring money directly to host are broken c) and deposit money are not fully returned d) plates, cutlery etc. are not clean (with old food on them) e) WIFI is not functioning properly f) you don't really feel welcome by the host.Long version: Against AirBnB philosophy Travanto uses sub-hosts and therefore guest and host cannot communicate through the app. This is by mail and very slow working, with one-two days delay. The subhost asked for a security deposit (400 Euros) directly to her account, and she has only returned it partly (90 Euros missing) due to rules that were not mentioned on AirBnB profile. (Dogs cost extra and garbage collection is complex and only described in part and in English - if you fail by placing few items in the wrong basket, host withholds 50 Euros). Pictures on post are misleading - it looks like luxury with nicely made beds, but when we arrived bed linens were not on, it was smelling like an unused garage, and kitchenware was not cleaned, so we had to clean it in order to eat from it. The cows from the main picture in the ad for the house is a mystery - nowhere near to be seen (in July). The person who owns the place acts as if being a welcoming host is not a priority. We didn't feel welcome, rather there was a long checklist in German as welcome note on the table. Also, before arrival there was a requirement of sending insurance documentation and ID papers - not very relaxing in your vacation, adding to the SWIFT bank transfer requirement. Also there were issues with really bad WIFI and a lack of hot water one morning, which was solved quickly - however, as an AirBnB host myself, I would address this in a regretful way, but no mention or apology from the host about that experience. I have travelled through AirBnB for 7 years with please, but this experience in not recommended. The value for money is far below category.
