I made a booking through TRAVELATED.COM, but unfortunately selected the wrong option—I booked only the hotel when I intended to book a hotel + flight package. I contacted Travelated immediately, kindly asking for a refund so I could rebook the correct package that included the flight. This trip was meant to be a birthday gift for my girlfriend, and everything was planned around that. I live in Sweden, and the travel dates were chosen to escape the cold weather and enjoy a warm destination together.I explained everything in detail to them, but the resolution process took over a month, which completely ruined our trip. There was zero coordination between Travelated and the hotel, despite them supposedly being partners. Instead of working together to fix the issue, they kept sending me back and forth—Travelated told me to contact the hotel, and the hotel referred me back to Travelated. This endless loop was incredibly frustrating and mentally exhausting.I don’t know if they did it out of the kindness of their heart or just because I had all the proof in photos showing that these two parties were constantly saying different things and pushing me to contact one and then the other, asking me to send evidence—when they could have just contacted each other and confirmed it themselves.The only positive part of this experience was that they at least responded to my emails (though I had to send multiple messages from different email addresses to get a reply). Eventually, I did receive a refund, which I appreciated—but the time, stress, and lost experience were not worth it.Personally, I will not book through this website again, though others might have a different experience. I sincerely hope that Travelated and their partner hotels improve their communication and teamwork, instead of making customers handle everything themselves.
