My family and I had an extremely distressing experience booking through Travelopod during our trip to India in December. Multiple Indigo flights on our itinerary were canceled or severely delayed, and when we tried to get assistance, the support we received from Travelopod was very disappointing.
I spent hours on the phone with their representatives trying to rebook flights after a 14-hour delay. I asked if I could be rebooked to a nearby city so I could still reach my destination. Their agents repeatedly told me that no such flights were available after placing me on hold for long periods. However, when I arrived at the airport, the airline itself informed me that there was a flight to a nearby city departing within a few hours. Because of the incorrect information from Travelopod, I missed the opportunity to rebook and faced even more delays.
An even more serious issue involved my mother and grandfather. Travelopod representatives told them their Indigo flight had been canceled. In reality, it was the only flight that had not been canceled. Because of this misinformation, they missed their flight and were stranded at the airport for over ten hours without proper assistance.
This trip involved multiple instances of incorrect and inconsistent information from Travelopod agents, which caused our family significant stress, delays, and financial loss. Being stranded in a foreign country due to inaccurate information from the agency we trusted is unacceptable.
I strongly recommend that travelers be very cautious when booking through this company.
