I'm a 62 year old woman from th Netherlands and last year I suffered a cva, which caudes my right side to be permanently unusable. So since the I have been stuck in a wheelchair. During the lasr year I went through therapy to try and recover some use/movement of my right arm and leg.During therapie I met a fellow patient who had a lot of benefit from a Trionic Veloped to help hem walk again. As it turns out, the Trionic Veloped is the only walker you can use with one hand. Is All terrein wheels makes it possible to walk however oneven the pavement, curbs, hobbles get with limited ability in one leg.I asked for information direct from Stephan at Trionic and he anwered all my questions very kindly and directly over both mail and telephone. We were able to put together a Veloped Tour for me to try.It arrived duly, perfectly packed, and turned to be easy for me to assemble. Then I went to work°!Over the past two months having worked with the Veloped, which I had named 'Thomas'(the tankengine), I can honestly say it has changed my world. From being someone in a wheelchair to someone who stands en engages with other people on their eyelevel again. The Veloped has me walking upright again! For shopping, a doctors appoitment, or just t go for a walk with friends for fun! In shopping centres, a park or sightseeing.I can take it into restaurants and theaters easily. It will take from work from you, as you will have to pratice on the Veloped daily, but you will find improvements in your capabilities daily. For anyone living in the Netherlands, who wants to know know and has a one-sided pharaplegy, I would be happy to share experiences. I am sure Stefan at Trionic can put us in contact.
