We have used Trustly a few times to pay for Western Union transfers. Each time the money has ended up stuck on Trustly’s side. For example, in the most recent transfer of €2200, the funds left the bank account but remained with Trustly and did not reach the recipient. Trustly does not offer a customer service phone number, so there is no way to get immediate help.
In situations where the money needs to arrive the same day, I cannot recommend Trustly as a payment method. There is a high risk that the money leaves your bank account but does not reach the recipient right away.
The service eventually works and it is a reliable payment institution, but for us it has required multiple emails and several days of waiting before the issue is resolved.
