I love using tumblr. It's easy to navigate, simple to use, and overall a great way to waste a few hours of my week away. The desktop site works great - but only if you're accessing it from a desktop PC or laptop that is. If you're trying to access tumblr on an iPad, the experience is shockingly awful. The app for iOS was never great in the first place - you can never use it for more than a couple of minutes before it crashed and closed down. Annoying, but it's better than nothing. But since the recent updates it won't even open at all when you tap on the icon - it just automatically crashes, and nothing seems to fix the problem. To make matters worse, if you try to access the full website using a browser such as Safari almost everything you try to do requires being directed back to the app instead. The dashboard is just about useable, but if you want to perform a simple task such as reblog or like a page from another user's blog you HAVE to do it via the app. The only workaround is to go back to your dashboard and see if you find the post you're trying to reblog/like using the limited search function.I hate it when web developers insist that you use their app just because you're using a mobile tablet - what's wrong with just leaving the full features available on the desktop site? I honestly don't care if the website isn't fully optimised for a mobile experience. Shouldn't the end user be able to decide if it's worth the hassle or not?
