Nat'l Debt Relief, a company that consolidates debt. I turned over four debts to them. The company with the largest debt made a very good settlement. I don't believe they had even contacted the other three debtors yet.I was making a fairly large monthly payment to them which I would have continued had I not learned what was really going on. They did not tell me up front that they required a 25% fee on the unsettled debt amount and while the first three payments of $25.00 was made to the settlement company, they were keeping the rest of those payments for themselves, or $1,800. Only $75. was used for my settlement for those three months, and then after they had their money they would start making larger payments. If they had settled all my debts, I would have owed them $7,000.00. I don't do business that way so I cancelled my account.
