I had three fraudulent job offers in a row, the last one almost convinced me though was rushing me to do tasks as a virtual agent and purchase supplies with money from the fake check they claimed they were going to have their "financial officer" issue a check for them to send to me (they tried sending it to me as an e- check through email, the check wasn't issued by any financial institution). Scam artists pressure us with time constraints to not have enough time to think about the correct action to take and compulsively to to influence us to cash fake checks, which could cause us to be charged by our financial institutions to pay them back for a bounced check, pay fines, and do jail time. If ever in doubt, explain in detail to a chat AI what a questionable employer potential has explicitly had you do, share the forms you signed with the AI to evaluate, and ask them any questions to determine fraud.
