Recent book at the Birmingham restaurant by the Alex Theatre.Our waitress was blunt at first, with an opening line of "which one of you is gonna give me your order" Waited for drinks and food took ages. We waited 40 mins for food to arrive and watched two of our three meals sitting on the counter for over 20 mins. We asked one of the waitress if that was ours as we'd been told by the manager 10 mins previously it was on its way and she rudely replied there was no way it had been there for 20 mins. We watched her speak to the manager and then our food arrived 5 mins later.... and it did include the food we'd watched for 20 mins. The manager himself was genuinely apologetic and we could see they were busy.The waitress forgot our water, we had to stop other servers to get more drinks as our waitress disappeared. We had tickets for a show and our pudding had not appeared, so I had to go and find our waitress to explain we'd have to go and asked for the bill. She said your pudding is just being made, clearly wasn't as we were sitting in front of the chefs...she asked them fir the pudding which when it arrived it was wrong pudding. We mentioned this and she practically accused us of making the mistake saying she'd checked twice with us which was an outright lie.The first bill came without the pudding on but when she came with the card machine to pay, she said it was wrong and gave another with the pudding on. We asked for the pudding to be removed as we'd not had it and she was extremely sarcastic and rude. Due to this I asked for the service charge to be removed and she became even ruder and sarcastic. This has to be the worst case of customer service in terms of attitude I have ever experienced, I would sadly not recommend this particular restaurant because of this. The second star is for the manager who was rushed off his feet and tried really hard, the waitress I'd give minus stars for if I could.
