Most concerning is their complete inability to provide clear billing breakdowns. I've repeatedly asked for specific line items explaining their "Other Usage Charges," but customer service just redirects me to their website and Excel sheets that don't show the actual transactions being charged as Other Usage. This is basic accounting - I should be able to see exactly what I'm paying for. When pressed for details, they responded that they are not able to pinpoint the exact transactions. This is baffling and concerning - how can they charge me for transactions if they claim they can't access or identify them? Also, when you download their Excel spreadsheets and the spreadsheets directly from Stripe, they don't always match up. This lack of transparency is especially troubling. My request is simple: show me what I'm being charged for with transaction-level detail. This is important since they are charging a percentage of revenue. Also, In June and July, I received emails promoting the use of the 'new' Stripe integration, emphasizing cheaper fees. This "new Stripe" is actually Stripe Express, which significantly reduces the control you have over your payment processing compared to standard Stripe.I understand that as a software company, they can implement changes as they see fit - it's their platform and we either adapt or find alternatives. However, I wish they had been more transparent about what we were actually migrating to. Clear, honest communication about both the benefits AND limitations would have been appreciated, rather than marketing language that obscured the downsides.
