When moving back from London, I tried sending one box of personal belongings to India. DTDC were -(1) Slow: DPD didn’t turn up to collect my parcel and lied about it. DTDC picked it up after I complained, then took >3 weeks to deliver.(2) Unresponsive: No updates, no requests for any additional information required (they just put my parcel on hold and didn’t bother to inform me), slow replies to some emails and none to the rest.(3) Misinformed about Customs procedures (there are no import duties or GST on used personal items if declared properly). Also refused to follow simple instructions from customs officials in India, who were - seriously - far better informed, professional and helpful. DTDC are cheaper than DHL etc. but expect weeks of stress and confusion. Also note many more negative reviews for DTDC Global Express (the same company) on TrustPilot.
