The technician they set me up with mucked me around and bs’d me about he’d be late, then later, when it got to 4:30 I got a call to say he’d broken down, much much further than 30 mins from my house, a somewhat dubious claim. This meant that after taking a day off from work to get this sorted, I had to take another day off the following day to drive to the business’s unit over an hour away from my house. This sucked. I wish I’d just paid the extra money and gone with autoglass, they’re much, much more reliable.Update: UKGC got in contact with me to discuss the situation in an understanding and reasonable fashion and gave me a small but generous (around 20% of the cost of the job) offer of compensation as a gesture of goodwill which was much appreciated. Fair play.
