We contacted UKDP about upgrading our old septic tank, which no longer came up to the standard required by the new 2020 regs. The initial survey confirmed the problem, and the details of their solution seemed fine: expensive, but the cost would be shared between the three houses which use the tank. A date was fixed for beginning the work, and we were impressed with the efficiency of the whole operation - new tank, diggers and cement all arrived on time, and despite appalling weather the whole job was completed within 3 days. The three men doing the work (Richard + 2) simply kept going through the rain, and they cannot be blamed for the mud left behind afterwards - the garden will soon recover, and a lot of earth had had to be moved. We were impressed not only with the work done, but also with the fact that the figure we were given after the initial survey was the figure we finally paid, with no hidden extras despite one or two minor setbacks. We have had no hesitation in recommending UKDP to others in the area who are (or will be) having the same problem in a rural area with no mains drains. All those with whom we dealt, on the ground and in the office, were very helpful and professional, and we are delighted to have our 'Certificate of compliance' with the new regs!
