Ahead the surgery I was sent emails and texts with reminders of what to do (and not do) which was really useful. The surgery went very well, Dr Elgindi talked through all the stages as they happened, and the result (now 2 days post OP) is looking good - the grafts coverage looks good, is close to the original hairline and there's almost no redness or pain. I was given an explanation of the aftercare required right after the operation was finished, and then a leaflet with the same info, as well as a pack containing the ncessary aftercare products. I'd advise taking a few days off work (even if you work from home) as I've had poor sleep the past 2 nights due to the 45-degree sleeping position you must use to avoid grafts damage (1 week).The only unplesant part of the OP day was walking back to the car park after the surgery (you will look very strange, although it's obvious you've had a hair surgery) - which would be avoidable with planning (taxi pickup, etc).
