I did a lot of research on Hypnotherapy practitioner courses and was thrilled to see the UK College of Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy in London offering an online university style of training. This allowed me to continue even when the Covid-19 pandemic arrived with Lockdown. I felt valued a sense of community from the get-go, from administration to qualification. I completed the full online Level 4 CBH diploma as I work full time. I was impressed with the evidenced-based course content and having already achieved 2 degrees and post-graduate qualification, I truly believe this course should be higher than a Diploma L4 the content, the experience of the tutors and the abundance of rich course handouts and assessments should be undergraduate level. It is academically rigorous & challenging. Great if you truly want to feel you have been taught by the best and that is exactly what you get. Mark Davis the college principal is an inspiring & interesting tutor as are the others.You also get 15 hours of one on one tutor support, Mine was Shelley Cushway who was a huge influence in clarifying my questions. You can also get peer support with the online classroom practical sessions & ask questions & arrange practicals inside the closed WhatsApp group. Its a fantastic course and I am so glad I choose the UK College - there are other courses out there, cheaper too, but I wanted the underpinning knowledge with supporting clinical evidence not just how to hypnotise people.The written assessments were challenging, really pushed you to read the clinical textbooks and revisit lessons to embed knowledge. Combined with the practical exercises, and case studies you learn to hone your newly found skills. Once qualified and you start your therapy practice you have a toolbox of effective and evidenced-based techniques to help your clients which gives you the confidence to go out and practice & help people.
