Left with no birthday party with 3 days notice

We had booked a 10 yr olds birthday party, 2 months in advance for Nov 16th, had to pay the £300 fee in advance. UKPaintball cancelled the booking on Nov 12th. No apology, no compensation. Apparently they earlier booking had cancelled so they decided not to open for the day.So with three days notice and 10 very disappointed boys, we are having to run around like mad things to find a replacement party activity.Can’t believe that paintball businesses are so profitable that they can afford to just cancel bookings like this. I can guarantee if we had tried to cancel at this short notice, they would have kept the payment. Absolutely appalling customer service. Definitely would not recommend anyone risking making a booking with this business.Reading through some other poor reviews, it’s seems as though this is their standard business practiceEdited following the response which isn’t very truthful. No offer of compensation was made. The offer to get 10 families to rearrange their schedules, and potentially add a further 20-30 mins each way to their journey with almost no notice. Correspondence as follows (see if you can spot the offer of £75 ?):I am sorry to inform you that our venue in Finmere is currently having to cancel the Sunday 16th session due to low player bookings and group cancelations.  We can offer a session at this location this Saturday 15th. Alternatively for Sunday 16th , I can offer our venue in Hinwick, MK43 7AE for the session time 11.30-1.30PM. My apologies again, if you could please contact on the number below and I hope we can discuss an alternative session for your booking. Kind Regards Then a long emai from us asking for compensationAnd the reply:Thanks for your email, Unfortunately, there isn’t anything further I can offer on your booking.
