I enrolled with a service after their marketing indicated they would assist me in finding appropriate government grants and loans for my start-up. Unfortunately, my experience has been far from what I anticipated. Since joining, I have applied for multiple grants through their platform but have not received anything—not even constructive feedback or assistance. It became apparent only after signing up that the “grant opportunities” operate more like competitive lotteries, with applicants vying against numerous other businesses. There was no indication during the sales discussion that the likelihood of receiving funding was so uncertain or that the process relied heavily on competition. Had this been clarified from the outset, I would not have subscribed. I feel the service was not presented honestly. Despite submitting several applications, a business plan, and paying for a pitch deck, I have received NOTHING. This has been a deeply disappointing experience, and I urge others to consider the limited and uncertain nature of the funding opportunities before enrolling.
