I spent a considerable amount of time sourcing 8x4 sheets of grooved MDF panelling for our new extension build. A week ago I came across Uniboards and their price was very competitive. I tried to do an online chat about delivery but got no response. I set up an account and had my default postcode as AB56. I was encouraged by their "Nationwide Delivery" statement on the shipping page and got as far as the checkout page where it clearly showed a £50 delivery charge. I left my "basket" with the panelling in it and discussed with my husband about adding the insulation sheets we needed and get everything in one delivery. The previous day, according to the shipping page, this would have brought the delivery cost DOWN to £40, however it had now increased to £85! I emailed Uniboards on Friday, no response, Tuesday, no response and again today, before being told they DON'T deliver to AB56!!! It's outrageous - a week of my time wasted waiting for a response to be told they now won't even deliver. We have had goods from the south of England delivered (even at no cost) although I expected to pay some delivery, without issue from other companies. When will the few stop acting like towns and cities above Edinbugh or Glasgow doesn't exist!!
