I had a number of problems with my employer, they laughed at my gradience, I raised another 2 years later and I involved Unison. They kept on telling me one thing then another, I also found some legals they never told me about, they wouldn't allow me to speak to their solicitor (I was ignored), claimed I didn't have a case when I can assure anyone that I did due to the amount of laws my employer had broken. I was then made redundant and my employer tried to pull the wool over my eyes with the figures. Last throw of the dice emailing HR, they ran for the hills because they know I've got them on many things. I think Unison are strapped for cash and they can't afford to take on cases to go to court. I cancelled my membership and most definitely won't be joining again. I'm not sure if it's worth joining a Union because they all appear to be in the same boat when reading reviews.
