Me and my partner claimed for universal because we needed the extra help. Hes been put on furlough because of covid and i do 2 shifts a week so 12.75 hours a week and am at home doing college the rest of the week (I get no funding from college). We haven't been told what the max we can work or the min required to get the help.. no they take 0.63p off every £1 so the £500 and something we are entitled to goes to zero. We barely have enough food to live on and my mental health is low, really low and when I decided to reach out for help from UC they give nothing. If it wasn't for my partner I wouldn't be here because they won't help me. Its disgusting, they wonder why suicide and drug misuse is so high. The way the work out UC is all wrong.
