I chose Unlock Math specifically for my visual learner. I'm hoping the video with clear explanations, enough practice, and spiral revision will help him to remember his math better.It has a very simplistic daily 'routine' of exercises, which is numbered 1 to 5. Each number has a couple sums to do (max.10), with number 1 being the Warm up, and number 5 being the "Challenge sum" of the day. In between are practice exercises and revision of previously learned work. My visual learner liked that it is the same routine everyday. No chop-n-changing going on.After every 2-3 lessons there is a quick quiz, and at the end of each unit there is a unit test. There is also a mid-term test, as well as end of year test. Thus easy for homeschool parents to get marks/grading.There is also an option to unlock the next math sections only if your child reaches a certain % of sums correctly done. I also received an end of week report via email, as summary of the work both boys have done.The programme itself is easy to use, easy to set up accounts for your kids, and almost self-explanatory for the kids. With every sum they do, there is a link to an explanation if the child gets stuck. So far both my boys are happy with it, saying it is more orderly and easy to follow than the previous programme they used. They are both using the Integrated Math options.The only thing I've had to do was show my visual learner how to use the video to make his own very colourful notes and draw images of the math problems (where applicable) to help him remember, as the videos can be a little 'dull' at times (for him).We've used this programme for a week now.

Added note on rigor and what students benefit from Unlock Math:
When developing our program, it was with the intent of serving the average student or one who had previously been struggling.
Our philosophy is that struggling students do not need the math dumbed down and made easier in that way, but rather they need to be taught in a way that leads to the light bulb moment of realizing that IS within their grasp and ability to not just do well but to do great.
In doing so we created a program that in rigor is less than Art of Problem Solving but doesn't give up anything to any other program on the market. That is why we have gifted programs recommending and using our program for the students that don't do as well with AoPS.
On the other hand we've discovered that we do really well with students that have one or more learning challenges and struggle significantly with math. Some of them have gone on to receive full ride scholarships in large part because of their math scores.
And of course the average student is able to achieve more and go further with our program as well.
