Working with Mrinalini has been a transformational journey. Before I started the program, I was doing everything I could professionally but still dissatisfied and unclear on my next steps. The program and coaching helped me ground myself on my core values, what is important to me, set and work towards clear goals. I no longer second guess myself, learnt to build positive relationships with people at various levels in the organization, see myself as an equal in meetings and gatherings where I am usually the only woman of color. This has given me the confidence to speak up and share and own my ideas not worrying about how it would be received. I have learnt to navigate attending networking events and coming out with meaningful professional connections. Mrinalini was able to provide the tools through 1-1 coaching, role plays, and group meetings catered towards what I used to fear the most, speaking with senior leaders. I can now reach out and have meaningful conversations with senior leaders in the organization, learn from their insights and share my accomplishments and work. I have evolved as a person, learnt to set boundaries, show up as my authentic self at work and at home.I have had to navigate many career changes due to immigration and childcare responsibilities. Though I did well to stay in the workforce, I struggled to connect the dots and go after bigger roles. I am now able to clearly articulate my professional journey so far and position myself for senior leadership roles.When I started the program and coaching, I was concerned about losing these skills. But it has been like learning to ride a bike. We start with the balance wheels and once we’ve learned to ride the bike all we want to do is ride the bike through plains and valleys, enjoying the wind on our face and unafraid to fall and pick ourselves up again and again. It has given me the freedom to create a career, life of my choice and positively influence those around me.
