My home AV journey has taken me from Kaspersky, but obvious issues pushed me out, and I went to BitDefender. That product didn't feel well put-together, and twice it had failed upgrades that ate 60GB on my disk, and required secure boot into a shell to clear - and their support disowned the whole thing.By comparison, Eset feels far more polished, and a more integrated product. The only glitch I've experienced in the month I've been using it is twice it got stuck during upgrade, requiring a reboot to continue. I've found the HIPS module is a bit unwieldy. After having it in learning mode for 3 weeks, I expected it would have picked up on just about everything that happens in normal operation, but when I switched later, I got an unworkable amount of warnings. So I've thrown up my hands and decided to let it go on its own expertise. So I don't think this is up to the level of Kaspersky. But within today's sphere of potential products, it seems to be the best product out there.
