I’ve learned that doing business with a virtual bank, is not a good idea and banking with Square has been very disappointing. The latest example of terrible customer service, punitive outcomes and rabbit holes. Simple, I am wanting to deposit a business check. Not happening, I get an error message each time I try and set up the account. The Square rep swears I entered my info wrong so I go down the rabbit hole 4 times only to get the same result, the agent gets off the phone and I am stuck. Two days this has been going on. Then they want a picture of the error as if I’m not truthful enough so I send the screenshot. Then they want the error message from the computer which is the same error message all to just put me off because they don’t know what they are doing, they are all disconnected, they do not work together, so you will be disconnected. Then I told her, the error message says it’s on Squares part so the whole time I’m running around, pissed as hell trying to figure out what I was doing wrong and it’s on their part and they knew. Then she says, I understand. No, you don’t understand and you saying that is disrespectful and condescending, you have no idea what you are putting me through, what you’ve put me through and the fact that the problem has only been made worse. How idiotic, “does this work, does this work?” You know it doesn’t work because I told you but we go through the process of failure so you can eventually tell me that I can’t be helped right now. Funny, 4 of the times I called in, I guess it was too late or too early, a sleepy representative comes to the phone each time and falls asleep, on the phone! This happened this morning as well, they pretend they can’t hear you so they can go back to sleep. If help requires any work, you’re on your own. This is so pathetic.
