They are very real, and what Square is doing should not be legal.Our small business in skincare products & serums started a website effort to grow. We integrated Square as a payment method to provide more accessibility. We received our first payment, they held the funds for 30 days while the account was being verified, we confirmed no actions were needed on our end for that process. On their assigned starting date for payouts, we received an email saying our account was locked, they were not allowed to tell us why, and decisions are final.No explanation, no effort to move forward, and no offer to release the remaining balance. Nothing. Just outright theft. They wouldn't even explain what legalese they were hiding behind. Nothing.Still have no idea why they stole our money. Thankful it was a small payment and our first. We got lucky dealing with this corrupt company.
